After several correspondence emails and haggles with support, I was able to retrieve my data (because I will NOT be forced into a subscription plan holding my data hostage) and then was confronted with the fact, that after upgrading the software (stupidly) there was no going back and the stored data would not correctly display any longer, nor provide much of the key values that once were as accurate as typing it in manually. Then as progress dictates, 5.0 and above, started slowly but surely, the mandatory subscription based premise and magically, corrupted all of my stored data and my online data, which then became irretrievable. Reboot your computer, and then to try scanning. You will only have to do this once to allow the driver permission to run. If you see the following message click Open again. Right click (or CTRL + click) the Scanner Driver file that you dragged into the Devices folder and choose Open.If you are on 10.11 El Capitan, follow the steps below:.If you are 10.10 or earlier, you can open Neat and connect your scanner and you should now be able to start scanning.It should look similar to the image below:

Unzip the driver file you downloaded in step three and drag it into this folder.

Copy and paste the following path in the Go To Folder window to open the directory: /Library/Image Capture/Devices.

Open the Go menu and select the Go To Folder option.

The Finder has the blue smiling face icon.

S elect the Finder icon from your Dock.

Click the link for your scanner model number in the list below to download the driver: NC-1000, ND-1000, or NM-1000 (the same driver file is used for all three models).

Unplug your scanner and close Neat on your computer.

Find your scanner model number by looking on the underside (bottom) of the scanner.

Neat Scanner Drivers may work for older OS versions but agent support is not provided on older OS versions. Please Note: Neat supports MacOS Mojave 10.14 as well as two (2) major releases back - High Sierra 10.13 and Sierra 10.12.
